The Aonach Eagach Ridge in Scotland is a sensational ridge. Located north of Glencoe, the ridge stretches for approximately 10 kilometers, from the Pap of Glencoe to the Devil’s Staircase. The ridge also has two Munro summits: Meall Dearg and Sgorr nam Fiannaidh. Thus making the entire ridge a diverse, thrilling and challenging adventure. In fact, the Aonach Eagach Ridge is considering the most difficult of all the ridges in the Scottish Highlands to traverse. Thankfully, during this full day traverse of the ridge, you will be expertly guided every step of the way.
The most difficult part of the Aonach Eagach Ridge is at the central section. During this part of the ridge, which stretches for approximately 2 kilometers, the area is extremely rocky and traversing it requires scrambling. However, despite the challenges of the ridge, the views and the experience of making your way through it are unbelievably rewarding.
As a result of the challenging nature of the Aonach Eagach Ridge, participants on this trip should have prior scrambling experience on classic Scottish Routes. You should also be in good physical condition.
