Get on a mountain bicycle and follow me across the Callejon de Huaylas in Huaraz. We will discover one of the most scenic biking routes in the continent!

Cross breathtaking valleys with mesmerizing views of magnificent peaks such as Peru’s highest mountain: Huascarán. See up close peaks like Chopicalqui, Chacraraju, Huandoy and Ulta, amongst many others in the Cordillera Blanca.

Moreover, the endless trails and roads you’ll encounter offer an incomparable experience. You’ll reach altitudes over the 4,950 meters, where the air is pure, and the sceneries are fantastic. Then, you can bike across hypnotizing, lush and green valleys, passing by deep blue mountain lakes, like Llaganuco. What’s more, you’ll visit enchanting towns, meeting the local people trying their exquisite cuisine and enjoying their hospitality.

The geography of the Callejon de Hualyas makes it the perfect terrain for mountain biking. Plus, the circuits offer different experiences. Some of them are narrow, with thrilling descents, perfect for those looking for the right dosage of adrenaline. And others are more quiet, crossing rustic bridges and surrounded by lovely sights. Huaraz – Llaca Lagoon – Huaraz 8-10 hrs, medium level
Huanchac – Wilcahuain – Monterrey 5 hrs, medium level
Rataquenua – Pukaventana – Macashka 4 hrs, medium level
Huaraz – Punta Callan – Huaraz 8 hrs, medium level

Down Hill

Portachuelo – Yungay 4 hrs, easy level
Punta Olímpica – Carhuaz 4 hrs, easy level
Punta Callan – Huaraz 3 hrs, easy level

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
