Description

This 1+day mountain biking tour to huts around Vail, lead by myself and our expert team, will provide you with brilliant memories to take away, as we ride through the gorgeous Colorado backcountry and take the opportunity to visit historical sites and also indulge in other activities along the way, such as hiking and fly fishing.

The quaint little town of Vail is locate just 100 miles from the sprawling metropolis of Denver, Colorado, and has an action-packed calendar all-year-round, with many festivals coming to town and the winter influx of visitors to the states largest ski mountain. It is becoming nationally renowned as a fantastic outdoor activity getaway, both in winter and summer.

After meeting in Vail we will then get down to mapping the hut to hut route we will take, as there are numerous options which we will collaboratively decide on. There are routes for riders of all levels of ability, and they will mostly be on singletrack and dirt roads.

Some of the exciting hut to hut routes available include Uncle Bud’s to Skinner Hut, Janet’s Cabin via Colorado Trail and Peter Estin Hut to Harry Gates Hut.

We will allow plenty of time to take in the awesome scenery around us, with vast tracts of forests and green valleys leading to quiet creeks and rocky terrain, and as mentioned before we will be able to partake in some hiking, peak climbs and fly fishing.

The tour finishes up back in Vail, with everyone hopefully weary and delighted at having mountain biked to the myriad of different and delightful huts that dot the landscape.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

Nate was very knowledgeable and got me to the top of mountain. He’s not as engaging as most of the guides I’ve had over the years. I’ve learned a lot about most of my climbs as guides talk about the mountain and the area maybe even plant and animals and I enjoy getting to know them better. We did talk a bit more on the way out of the trailhead. All in all a good experience. But not sure your company told him I had a knee replacement and would be slow.
