Description

This multi-pitch rock climbing adventure I will take you on includes climbing on some of the most stunning and picturesque landscape and terrain in the region, as we tackle the myriad of routes on rock walls, via ferrata’s and even frozen waterfalls (including the highest one in Tirol), all while admiring the views over the peaceful pastures, lakes and valleys of the Tannheimer Tal, near the border with Bavaria in Germany.

Tannheimer Tal is a high valley located in the North of the region of Tirol, in Austria, and is renowned throughout the country as an outdoor activity playground in both Winter and Summer.

We will meet in the morning of the first day, and from there we can collaboratively choose where to go based on your level of ability and eagerness to explore.

Some of the more famous routes to climb include the Rote Fluh (2108m), a very popular route with climbers, Gimpel (2173m), an area full of 18 different routes and sweeping panoramic views, and Gimpel Sudostvorbau, a slightly more challenging route containing what many believe to be the most gorgeous views in the valley.

Some of the scenery we will encounter is as postcard-pretty, tranquil and idyllic as one can imagine, with the alpine forests leading down to lush, green fields and valleys, punctuated by mesmerizing and richly-coloured lakes and waterways.

We finish climbing having explored this truly marvelous and astonishing place, and also having physically pushed ourselves with the fun and exciting rock climbing routes.

Rock climbing is one of the most thrilling ways to explore Tannheimer Tal – book now to experience!
