Description

Located south of Melbourne, the island of Tasmania is a lovely place to visit. It is full of great scenery and an abundance of outdoor activities. One of those activities is rock climbing. And despite the island’s relatively small size, there are over 20 different crags, offering over 800 possible routes.

Because there are so many climbing options to choose from on the island of Tasmania, based on your skill level and preferences, we will take you to the best ones.

One example includes Launceston’s Cataract Gorge, where you can enjoy dolerite crags. There is Freycinet, where you can enjoy some granite sea cliff climbing, and Adamsfield, where there is lots of sport climbing routes. There are also remote, multi-pitch routes at Mt Geryon and Frenchman’s Cap. And there are many more spots, all of which will surely dazzle you.

Due to the wide variety of spots available, you can rest assured that even if you are not a climbing expert, there is a great route for you. And if you are a climbing expert, there are definitely routes that will challenge your skills. However, regardless of your skill level, because of the physical nature of rock climbing, you should be in good physical condition.

Have you ever wanted to visit Tasmania? If so, this rock climbing trip will definitely give you something thrilling to do when you’re there. So send us a request, and let the fun begin.

We also offer another rock climbing trip around Brisbane, in Queensland.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
