2-day Trient Glacier trek from Champex (Switzerland) with summit on Pointe d’Orny

The Trient Glacier is the largest glacier on the Swiss side of Mont Blanc. It is as stunning as it is exciting to explore. And, on this 2-day trip, you will have a great opportunity to enjoy this magnificent glacier.

Our trip will begin in the Piazzale Lotto in Milan. From there, we will take a drive to Champex. After that, we will make our way to the summit of the Orny Refuge (2,826m), where we will spend the night, by way of the Breya Lifts. The views you will get to enjoy of several nearby peaks, including the Gran Combin will take your breath away.

On the second day of the trip, we will make our way to the Cabane du Trient (3,170m). From there, you will get to explore the Trient Glacier. You will also have the option to climb to the summit of the Pointe d’Orny (3,271m), where you can enjoy some fantastic views of the Swiss Alps. Afterwards, we will return Champex and then go to Milan by car.

This is not a very difficult trip. However, prior experience hiking through similar terrain is recommended. You should also be in good physical condition.
