Located on the north side of the Alps, Lake Geneva is a much revered natural wonder, decorated with history and prestige. Shared between France and Switzerland, the glacial lake is one of the largest in Western Europe, with a length of 45 miles and width of 8,7 miles. It is shaped like a crescent with its two horns facing southwards.
The high altitude of Lake Geneva results in pleasant summers with mild temperatures, while July is the hottest month with an average of 20°C.
