Description

Fanes is a perfect destination for winter sports adventures in the Italian Dolomites. Don’t miss the chance to discover it on this 3-day ski mountaineering trip!

The Fanes Group is a mountain range located in the northwestern Dolomites. Situated to the east of the Val Badia valley, in South Tyrol, most of the area is part of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. With perfect powder terrain and several charming mountain huts, this region is popular among ski tourers from all over the world.

On this 3-day tour we will ascend from 800 to 1000 meters to enjoy thrilling descents. I will take you to the best spots in Fanes. Top-quality snow is guaranteed!

Additionally, we will be staying in the Fanes mountain hut-hotel and the Sennes hut. They are both surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and serve delicious local Italian cuisine. You will love them!

This tour is suitable for intermediate ski mountaineers with a good fitness level. However, if you are an expert skier, I will make sure to find some challenging spots for you to test yourself.

Itinerary

Day 1: Col Bechei - Lavarella

First, we’ll visit Col Bechei. Then, we will head to Sasso Delle Dieci, Sass de la Crus and Monte Castello. Finally, we’ll arrive to Lavarella.

Day 2: Cima Ciamin - Sennes Hut

We’ll begin by ascending to Cima Ciamin. Then, we’ll transfer to the Sennes hut.

Day 3: Montesela de Sennes or Croda del Becco

We will explore Montesela de Sennes or Croda del Becco. Finally we will return to the valley.
