4-day snowshoe hike around the Fanes Hut

Join me on a four-day snowshoe hike around the Fanes Hut on the mountains of the Dolomites in the Italian Alps. This trip includes different snowshoeing possibilities according to the group’s skills with easy slopes and snowy hills. During the whole trip you will learn a lot about snow and avalanches.

Fanes Hut is based 2,060 meters above sea level and is surrounded by an inviting white landscape, ideal for winter fans.

We will meet the first day at Pederü, located at 1,548 meters of height and climb to the Fanes Hut, where we will have a small debriefing meeting and an ARVA training. A snowmobile will carry your luggage to the refuge. During the two following days, we will achieve different snowshoeing goals around the hut. We’ll have many options to choose from, including Heiligkreuzkofel (2,907m) and Mount Castle (2,817m).

On our last day, we’ll have another excursion and go downhill with the sled at Pederü.

This adventure is recommended for people in good physical shape. Depending on your level and the weather conditions, we can choose different hikes and slopes.
