Description

During this 4-day snowshoeing tour in the Kitzbühel Alps you will enjoy the most wonderful peace and solitude while taking in the area's stunning scenery!

This tour will take you to the wonderful backcountry terrain of St. Johann and Kirchdorf in the Kitzbühel Alps. Take my word on this: the scenery on days 1 and 2 is amazing, but you won't believe your eyes on day 3!

On the first day, we'll climb up the valley to reach the Litzelfelden hamlet. From there, we will traverse the Leuken Valley to reach Kalkstein on day 2. On the third day, we will climb up to the Kalkstein plateau and finally return to our starting point on the last day.

A minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6 participants can take this snowshoeing tour together. Also, please bear in mind that you need to be in a good physical condition and comfortable on long hikes. You must be able to walk between 5 and 7 hours a day on technically easy terrain.

Mountain Guide

I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and of course a mountain lover. I am an Austrian guide based in the Austrian Alps, more precisely in Tyrol. After university I worked as a rep for the ski season in Austria. I had worked many years as a Ski and Snowboard instructor and after successful expeditions to Peru and Nepal I decided to become a certified Mountain Guide.

I work with my wife Sally managing my own Mountain Guiding Company. Sally is a qualified Walking Guide leading Alpine hikes in the summer and snowshoe walks in the winter, as well as Skiing Instructor

Our Mountain guiding Company offers a full range of mountain activities: hiking, ski touring, Rock climbing, Ice climbing, Off Piste Skiing & Snowboarding, Avalanche Awareness, all taking place in the beautiful Austria and around Europe.
