Join me in this great 5-day program and let's go snowshoeing to Lesachtal, an amazing valley in the Austrian Alps. We will explore the countryside, through snow-covered forest roads and hiking trails.

Lesachtal is located in the state of Carinthia in Austria. It's a fantastic spot for winter activities. I love this valley, as it is still a pretty untouched natural area in the Alps.

Along these 5-day program we will be able to enjoy the fresh air and wilderness. Also, it's a perfect opportunity for switching off from the city hurries and connecting with the peace of nature!

We will start our snowshoeing tours directly from our accommodation, the cozy Hepi Lodge, in Obergail. Besides, I will adapt our tour to the weather, snow and group conditions. You can check the tour itinerary below this text.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hepi Lodge, Obergail

Greeting. Equipment check. Avalanche report, snow conditions. Tour planning for the next day.

Day 2 to 4: Snowshoeing

After breakfast, we will start our snowshoeing tour. It will always be adapted to the conditions. I may make changes to the planned tour depending on the current conditions at that time.

Day 5: Snowshoeing-End of tour

After breakfast, we will start our snowshoeing tour. At about 3 pm we will have a coffe in the Hepi Lodge. End of program

I’m a IFMGA certified mountain guide and a nature lover. I was born in 1983 and I studied Cultural and social anthropology at the Vienna University.

Mountains, water, cultures have been always my passion. That’s why I’m a mountain, ski, canyoning and rafting guide, also a ski instructor and a snowboard enthusiast.

Helene and myself are the owners of the Hepi lodge. A space for mountaineers, climbers, skiing enthusiasts where besides offering the accommodation service we proposed varied programmes of different activities: rock climbing, ski touring, canyoning, hiking tours.

I guide most of my time in Lesachtal Valley: St Lorenzen, St Jakob, Birnbaum, Karnische Alps and Lienz Dolomites.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
