Located in the Zillertal valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol, the ski area of Gerlosstein offers a fantastic mixture of quality slopes, deep snow, and impressive landscapes.
Zillertal is the widest valley that lies south of the Inn valley and received its name from the nearby Zillertal Alps, which are strongly glaciated and popular with outdoor enthusiasts.
Yet he’ll head far beyond the crowds that stay along the lower mountain sections and get deep into the backcountry.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re old or young, whether you’re a fresh-faced first-timer or seasoned snowshoer, you’ll all be able to get up close and personal with nature.
We’ll get a lift at the Hainzenberg which will take us to an altitude of approximately 1,650 meters. We’ll reach our base camp at the Gerlosstein hut.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
