The Dolomites are a world-famous Italian mountain range. Join me and cross its stunning peaks on an unforgettable 5-day ski touring expedition!

Part of the Southern Limestone Alps, the Dolomite Mountains stretch from the River Adige to the Piave Valley. Located in northeastern Italy, these beautiful mountains are part of the provinces of Belluno, South Tyrol and Trentino.

The goal of this 5-day ski touring adventure is to cross from the Pala Group (Pale of San Martino) all the way to Lake Braies (also known as Pragser Wildsee and Lake Prags). We will discover amazing descents on the Marmolada, the Sella Group, and the Fanes/Sennes Group.

The classic starting point of the Dolomites traverse is San Martino di Castrozza, located in the most southern part of the massif.  However, I am very flexible and we can start from other places too. We will use the Superski Dolomite lifts only when we need to.  Additionally, we will climb no more than 700 meters per day using skins. Finally, we will get a well deserved rest. After skiing all day long on top quality snow, we will spend the nights in charming mountain huts where we will enjoy delicious Italian foodYou can check the complete itinerary below!

Keep in mind that for this trip you need to be at least an intermediate skier with some ski touring experience and a good fitness level. And please bring fat skis!

So, if you are up for this unforgettable ski touring experience in the Dolomites, please get in touch with me. I am sure that this 5-day adventure will amaze you from beginning to end!

And if you are looking for a shorter tour, check out my freeride skiing days at Val Setus and Val Mesdi.

About the guide

guide profile img

I was born and raised in Campitello, in Val di Fassa. I am a ski instructor and mountain guide.
My parents have always practiced mountaineering, both for leisure and business, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! Skiing and climbing were my favourite activities growing up.
As the years went by, I became more and more skilled and experienced under the watch of my father, both in techniques and safety measures. I learned the craft of mountain guide and ski instructor from him, since when his clients or students agreed, I would join them in the mountain.
But the true passion started when I moved to Tione for my studies.
I became ski instructor at 19 and mountain guide at 21.
