The pristine wilderness of Norway is an adventurer’s dream. From charming valleys and historic peaks to glacial lakes and lush meadows, those seeking a true nature getaway can find it all in the center of the accommodating Scandinavian country. And the crème de la crème of this fjord-filled majesty is Jostedalen, a valley graced with luscious terrain in every direction and a perfect place to become a better alpine climber.
Our program is designed to give you the fundamental skills to complete mountaineering objectives all over the world in all types of environment. We will cover rock and ice climbing, as well as rope, belay, and rescue techniques in both forms. We will incorporate in-depth safety training into all areas of the course while cementing a high standard of security before, during, and after our climbs.
With six days of instruction, you will have ample opportunity to master basic skills and practices and improve upon the ones you have already acquired. We will use the scenic backdrop of the unbelievable Scandinavian Mountains to focus on ascending, abseiling, topography comprehension, navigation, and program planning. By the end of your week in Norway, you will be able to multi-pitch on a more ambitious objective with a new-found comfort and energy.
The Jotunheimen has some great challenges that will add a thrilling level of fulfilment to the alpine climbing course, including Sore Dyrhaugstind (2,072m) and Dyrhaugsrydden, a heart-pumping traverse that is as fun as it is visually stunning. This unforgettable trip will teach you the skills necessary to progress as a climber on practical climbs to apply your instruction. There is no better location for a course like this.
Security is our top priority, and I will ensure you have the time of your life in the safest way possible. I am always happy to treat others to the hidden wonders of Norway and I look forward to helping you experience it like a local.
As an introductory program in rock and ice climbing, our course is a great way for climbers with previous glacier experience and hiking experience. A high level of physical fitness is pivotal for the success of the program, as is the mental fortitude to complete a sustained journey like this one.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
