Madesimo ski resort is located in the Lombardy region of Italy, near the border area with Switzerland. Due to its location and great routes, it is one of the most famous spots to practice and enjoy freeride skiing. Discover this place by joining this 6-day freeride skiing trip in Italy.

During this trip, you will enjoy skiing across fantastic mountains and natural spots, such as the Pizzo Groppera (2,948 meters), Monte Caurga (2,865 meters), the Montespluga Lake, Passo dello Spluga (2,113 meters), Alpe Suretta (3,027 meters) and Val di Lei. In addition, you will go down the famous Canalone route and contemplate the astonishing surroundings.

Apart from skiing, you will enjoy a comfortable stay in a hotel and the amazing Italian food.

Also, remember that a good technical level and physical condition are mandatory for this trip. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

We’ll meet at the Briançon or Oulx-Cesana train stations and transfer you to Madesimo by minibus (we can also meet directly there). Then we’ll enjoy our first day across Green Field routes.

Day 2: Pizzo Groppera

On day 2, we’ll go to Pizzo Groppera and make our descent through the Camosci route.

Day 3: Monte Caurga

We’ll take the cable car and go with our skins to Monte Caurga (2,865 meters). Descent from Canalone.

Day 4: Montespluga

We’ll drive to Montespluga Lake, go with our skins to Passo dello Spluga (2,113 meters) and descend in Switzerland. Ascent and descent in Alpe Suretta (3,027 meters).

Day 5: Val di Lei

Cable car to Pizzo Groppera, descent in Val di Lei. We’ll continue skiing and then go to the hotel.

Cable car and ski touring to Combes du Monte Mater (3,025 meters). We’ll return to the train station and say goodbye.

We did a 1 day Ferrata with Marica. We've both never climbed a Ferrata before but we are both good hikers. We enjoyed our trip very much and you don't need to be a climber. Marica took good care of us and she is very informative with the local geography and history. We felt very safe with her. If you are traveling near the Dolomite and want to try something a bit out of your comfort zone, I highly recommend doing a ferrata especially with Marica. We did both ferrata ra gusela nuvolau and ferrata-averau. It took us about 6 hours.
