Description

Popularly known as the“Coca-Cola” route, Marangu Route is one of the easiest paths to the summit of the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro. Join us as we take you to the peak of the highest mountain in Africa via this easy route.

One of the first well-established routes for climbing Kilimanjaro, Marangu is the only track which offers accommodation in comfortable mountain huts instead of making you spend your nights in camps.

Although, not the most scenic route, it still is a favored by many climbers- both beginners and seasoned alike, as it offers a steady and a gradual climb without much difficulty.

Though we have reserved a day for acclimatization during the trek, it is still recommended to take a day or two before the climb to acclimatize so as to avoid mountain sickness during the trek.

We’ll approach the summit through the southeast face. Heading from Moshi to Marangu gate, we’ll begin the trek soon after completing the formalities. Continuing on a trail through lush rainforest, we’ll reach the Mandara Hut.

The next few days will be spent hiking to Horombo Hut and traversing the Mawenzi ridge until we reach Kibo Hut. The final ascent to Uhuru Peak ( 5,895m) will start from Kibo Hut. We’ll start just past midnight and ascend on ice and snow to reach the summit, the highest point in Africa!

The top offers breathtaking views of the neighboring peaks. We’ll descend via the same route to reach Marangu gate to end this incredible trip.

So, get in touch with us to reserve your seat. We would be very happy to guide you on this unforgettable experience in Tanzania! Climbing Kilimanjaro is also possible via the Lemosho route and Machame route.

You did not give a detailed packing list for this trekking. it would be nice if you already to give the option to stay in the Austrian Hut (we did) . The daily description could be better. The first day we walked 5 km and the last day 9km. The other days we walked 7-8 hours
