Chitwan is a province of Nepal best known for the Chitwan National Park, the first ever national park in the country. It contains a wide array of native and exotic flora and fauna, with hiking a popular pursuit in the area.

Our trip begins when we meet in Kathmandu on day 1 for a day of sightseeing.

Day 2 is when the trekking aspect of the trip begins, as we hike for about 5 hours up to accommodation for the night in Hattibang.

Day 3 is a trekking-heavy day featuring many stops to admire the pretty surrounds, with a break at Siraichuli featuring epic views out over Himalayan mountains such as Rolwaling, Peak 29 and Gorkha Himal.

Days 4 and entail yet more tranquil scenery of hills and valleys, with day 5 ending at the village of Shaktikhor, where we learn about the endlessly interesting Chepang people who populate the region.

We finish our adventure on day 6 back in Kathmandu, weary yet satisfied at the magnificent scenery we have been exposed to and the knowledge we have gained of the local people and cultures.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
