Tilicho Lake boasts a surface area of 4.8 km2 (1.9 sq mi) and lies at an altitude of 4,919 m (16,138 ft) in the Annapurna Massif, in the Himalayas. It is located in the Manang region of Nepal, near Pokhara and is a famous trekking destination. Trekking to Tilicho is usually an add-on 3-4 day excursion to the traditional Annapurna Circuit Trek and well worth the extra time spent in the mountains.
