Explore with me the amazing Tour des Combins Trek in the Swiss Alps!
Get on board this amazing route around The Grand Combin, one of the most famous 4000-meter peaks in the Alps. The Tour des Combins includes Alpine meadows with wild edelweiss, waterfalls and ascents and descents on some fascinating mounts and peaks. Some of them are the Mt Brule and the Col du Grand St Bernard with its interesting monastery.
The trip will start in the village of Bourg St Pierre (1.632 m), where we’ll spend our first and last night. We’ll sleep 2 nights in hotels and 5 in refuges. Be sure to check out the itinerary to learn all the amazing places we’ll visit.
Some of the views we’ll enjoy during this week-long trek include the Mont Rogneux (3.084m), the Glacier de Corbassière, the Glacier de Fenêtre, and the white peaks of Mont Blanc de Cheilon.
The route does not imply glacial trekking. Nonetheless, we’ll be doing a fair amount of ascents and descents carrying our own equipment. In addition we’ll hike for around 6-7 hours per day (one day even 11 hours) covering 103 kilometers in seven days. Make sure you are physically prepared for it.
With so many amazing views and routes, this is an experience you don’t want to miss. Book your trip now! I would love to be your guide.

The longest day of the tip! We’ll cover 27 kilometers in 9-11 hours. We’ll get to see the Glacier de Fenêtre, the Chanrion hut, and the white peaks of Mont Blanc de Cheilon. We’ll sleep at Refuge Letey (2.375m).
On this day, we’ll hike for 6-7 hours. We’ll start by climbing the Col de Champillon (2.709m). We’ll then go through the Aosta valley, Etroubles, the villages of St Oyen, Cerisey, St Leonard and St Rhemy. We’ll spend the night at Col de St Bernard (2.469m).
Weather permitting, we’ll spend our last hiking day through Fenêtre de Ferret, Lacs de Fenêtre, Col de Bastillon, Combe de Drône and finish in Bourg-St-Pierre.
We’ll share a final breakfast together

We were Very pleased With Emma guiding us through the hikes. We really enjoyed the entire trip:) As we were just our family we would have loved a little more flexibility hiking in our own pace - felt we were rushed a bit too much. We should have informed Emma about this but we were too compliant:) The explore-share platform was a bit rigid/ formel - it was not clear that exploreshare hired another firm to do the job. Also quite a High fee to explore share We were first told to have an (expensive) extended travel insurance (with mountain rescue) up to departure / after we had plaid. We should have been told this before signing up. Another mistake were that explore share had told us last payment were due closer to departure - so in a rush we had to pay up 60 days before as this is cloud9advenures policy. This made us uncertain if it was fraud. But it wasn’t:) overall pleased with our trip

AMAZING! This was a last minute decision and my first multi day trekking tour and it far exceeded my expectations. The communication and preparation was comprehensive and accurate. Our guide (Lindsay) was phenomenal. The route was the perfect mix of challenge and comfort. I will definitely be booking my next hiking trek thru Emma.
