Situated in the northwestern tip of Iceland, the Westfjords is a mountainous peninsula and makes for the perfect spring splitboarding destination!
The fun begins after we meet up at the Ísafjörður Airport and board the Comrades, our custom-fitted expedition vessel and sail trawler. From this small city, we will sail out and explore the mountainous shorelines of the various fjords on the peninsula.
Each day, we'll sail to a different spot in the Westfjords and head to land. From here, we'll make numerous 700 to 1,400-meter ascents up into the coastal mountains, enjoying phenomenal views before racing back down to the beach.
When we're not out on the slopes, we'll be able to enjoy the amenities on the yacht, such as the sauna and hot tub, or go sea kayaking.
In the evening, after enjoying a dinner cooked by our private chef, we will go above deck and keep our eyes peeled for the breathtaking Northern Lights.
By the end of our week, we'll have made a big loop around the Westfjords and enjoyed the incredible views of its coastal mountains.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this unforgettable 7-day splitboarding expedition through the Icelandic Westfjords, from our own private yacht!

I started snowboarding in 1996 and have dedicated my life to this sport since 2005, spending several seasons Down Under and travelling and exploring the mountains in different corners of the world with my snowboard and splitboard.
I became an Austrian State certified Snowboard Guide in 2012. I'm based in Zillertal, Austria, where I guide snowboarding and freeriding tours during the winter. I also organize trips to the Caucasus in Georgia and, for heliboarding, I put together private week-long trips in Romanian Carpathian Mountains.
In The Springtime, I usually guide in one of my favorite areas on planet: the Norwegian Arctic. Splitboarding between the fjords and the Lyngen Alps is a one-of-a-kind experience!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
