More Info

Iceland is a magical country where ice and fire combine. Located in the North Atlantic, this breathtaking island is famous for its volcanos and glaciers. It is also a unique spot for splitboarding where you can enjoy pristine, untouched snow, and go down slopes that overlook the stunning shores. Then, when you’re done for the day, you can recover in some of the local hot springs. Additionally, you can go whale-watching and catch sight of the northern lights! Iceland’s Scandinavian heritage and culture are also well worth discovering when off the mountains.  Most splitboarding trips in this stunning country are several days long and will allow you to explore some of its most amazing spots under the guidance of an experienced, certified guide.

Good to Know

Because Iceland is so close to the Arctic, you can expect it to be generally cold. However, because of the volcanic activity and oceanic currents, it might not be as cold as you expect. In the winter, there is a wide range of temperatures depending on location. In the south, temperatures in winter are usually around the 0 °C range, whereas in the north, they can drop as low as −30 °C.
