Stand beneath green curtained skies, erupting with a dance of mesemerizing colors. In Lofoten, every northern lights chase is unique — join us and turn a dark Arctic night into a magical story.
The Northern Lights are one of nature’s most incredible spectacles, and Lofoten is among the world’s best places to witness them.
Our Northern Lights Hunt is led by an expert guide with deep knowledge of auroras and night photography - reading the conditions, understanding the phenomenon, and moving to the best vantage points at the right moment are must-have skills to fully enjoy
We'll meet at a designated point where you’ll get to know your guide and the rest of the group, then the guide will brief you on the aurora forecast and the weather that will shape our route.
From there we travel together between hand-picked sites chosen for that night’s conditions; while we watch the sky you’ll learn how auroras form, why they appear, and what makes Lofoten such a special setting for this display.
Photography is an integral part of the experience: the guide will teach camera settings and composition so you can capture the lights yourself, and if you don’t have a camera we’ll take professional photos for you and deliver the best shots after the tour.
If both the aurora forecast and the weather suggest very low chances, we may cancel the outing, but we always give guests the option to decide whether they still wish to go out.
