Description

The Aletsch Glacier is the longest glacier in all of Europe, and there is nothing quite like It.

Located in the Valais area of Switzerland, the Aletsch glacier is an amazing sight. And when you see it amongst a beautiful backdrop of the Swiss Alps, it is even more impressive. And for 3 days, I would like to guide you on a hiking tour around this amazing glacier.

Throughout this 3 day tour you will get to see the beautiful natural surroundings of the Aletsch glacier. You will also get to sleep in lovely and comfortable rooms in the mountains. Hence giving you a memorable experience that you will enjoy both day and night.

The trek will begin in Birgisch. From there we will hike to the Swiss village of Nessel. After that, we will head to Belalp, where we will spend the night. On the second day of the trek, we will hike to the amazing Massa bridge. This bridge will give you some exciting views of the Massa gorge below and leads to the gates of the Aletsch glacier. Afterwards, we will go to Riederfurka, where we will spend the night. On the final day of the trek, we will make our way to Blatten. During the final day’s hike, you will get to admire the gorgeous views of the Rhone valley.

Exploring the Aletsch glacier area is a fantastic opportunity. The scenery is beautiful and the experience is unforgettable. If you’re interested in joining me on this 3 day adventure, just send me a request.

Would you like to explore another glacier in the Swiss Alps? Then join me on this day long trip to the stunning Zinal glacier.

About the guide

guide profile img

I'm a UIMLA mountain leader, a rescuer and a journalist. Since 18 years, the mountain is my office and my full-time job. My passion is about to transmit the small and big secrets of nature but also to allow everyone to find his right balance in an environment which might appear as hostile but which is actually a large reservoir of unsuspected individual energy. Here in the mountain, the masks fall down and that's the good point of it !
