Description

Today I come to make a tempting proposal: a guided off-piste skiing trip around the Chilean region of Aysen!

Aysen is located in the Patagonia of Chile. It’s really beautiful because it is bordered to the east by Argentina and to the west, by the Pacific Ocean.

To be more exact, the perfect area for the practice of backcountry skiing is the spot of Portezuelo Ibañez, 15 km from Villa Cerro Castillo. And there I want to invite you! Despite of being close to the ocean, Aysen has a great dry snow that you’ll enjoy a lot.

Besides, this off-piste skiing spot is very accessible from the famous South Road or Carretera Austral.

Because of that you have to contact me now if you are interested in skiing around the stunning Aysen region. Best months are from July to November so… hurry up! Let’s do it together!

Our Cerro Castillo trek was a highlight of our Patagonia trip. Our guide, Nacho, was a great hiking companion and very accommodating of our preferences, including what hike we wanted to do, what time we wanted to start in the morning and our pace. He also took the time to meet up with us the evening before to discuss logistics. He spoke great English and we had a truly memorable day.
