Description

Traditional climbing, or trad climbing, is a fantastic activity. Trad climbers rely less on bolts and anchors. Instead, they focus on exploring the rock face in a more natural manner. As a result, it is an extremely freeing experience. And in the region of Bohuslan, on the coast of southwest Sweden, there is an array of great places where you can enjoy some exceptional trad climbing.

Whether it’s for one, or a few days, this trip will give you the chance to scale a number of exciting rock walls. At first glance, it doesn’t appear there will be some thrilling rock climbing in Bohuslan. However, as you get closer to the region’s walls, you will see them for exactly what they are: smooth, steep, challenging faces waiting to be scaled.

There are many routes on a number of different crags you can choose from in Bohuslan. And with the difficulty levels ranging from 3 to 9 on the Swedish scale, there is a route for everybody. So regardless if you are a beginner, or an expert climber, you can have a great time. And there is also some beautiful scenery as well, including a vast collection of cattle fields.

Just 2.5 hours from the capital city of Oslo, and an hour from Gothenburg, Bohuslan is a great addition to any Swedish vacation. It is also near the lovely towns of Dingle and Munkedal.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
