Canyoning in Lower Vero River (Rio Vero Inferior)

Come enjoy a perfect canyoning day in the Lower Vero River between the large orange and gray limestone walls sculpted by the fluvial movements for millions of years.

Lower Vero River is an emblem of Alquézar. The canyoning route here is circular, in such a way that it begins and ends in Alquézar, a beautiful medieval town. The access road takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes via some easy trails with only a gentle climb at the beginning. The way back to the town will be done in about 45 minutes through the Alquézar’s footbridges.

Spectacularity and simplicity come together in the Lower Vero River. It is an especially ideal place for groups of friends, families and people who enjoy aquatic activities. While the route presents some obstacles, such as large flooded labyrinths and intense streams, these are not mandatory so it is an activity open to everyone.
