Description

If you’re an intrepid splitboarder you should join me on this 5 day hut-to-hut traverse across Carros de Foc, one of the most popular routes in the Pyrenees.

With our splitboards on, we’ll travel through the Aigües Tortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. It’s a Catalan mountain area with peaks over 3000 meters in height and around 200 lakes. Starting from Arties, we will cross 55 km and gain a total elevation of 9200 meters.

Some of the huts we will visit during this splitboarding adventure in Carros de Foc are Ventosa, Estany Llong, Josep M. Blanc, and Amitges.

Each day we will also have optional ascents such as Montardo (2833 m), La Creu de Colomers (2896 m) or Pic Monestero (2877 m). These ascents imply a climb up on splitboards to then enjoy a long snowboard descent to the next mountain refuge.

Ready for some fun and excitement in the Pyrenees mountains? So contact me now by clicking on the green button and send your request. I’ll be happy to be your guide in Carros de Foc.

I also lead a shorter version of this trip on this 4-day ski touring adventure across northern Carros de Foc route. Check it out!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
