Description

Alaska has such a variety of different national parks and spacious areas to trek through that you can choose exactly what type of terrain you want to explore. And on this 4 day hiking tour, one of our guides would like to lead you through the mountainous paths of the Chugach state park. This area is a beautiful representation of the Alaskan wilderness and is home to a number of amazing animals, from moose to grizzly bears. The park is also a great spot to admire several different peaks from the Alaska mountain range and the Chugach mountains, including Mount Williwaw (1,660m).

There is an amazing vastness that one can’t help but appreciate within the Chugach state park. Throughout this hiking journey you will get to see some of the clearest water in some of the most stunning lakes in North America, including Williwaw lake and Long lake. There is also a number of gorgeous creeks, rivers and forests you can admire as well.

We will be trekking for approximately 10 kilometres per day. As a result, you will get to see a great deal of new, exciting things every day of this trip. The routes we will be taking will mostly be at altitudes of approximately 600 metres. As a result of the amount of distance covered and the altitude, participants on this trip should be in good physical condition.

Finally, at the end of each day, you will get to rest and relax in a comfortable camp site, where you can gaze at the stars, and get a good night sleep for the next day’s adventure.

So if you are looking for a journey in the Alaskan wilderness that puts you right in the mountains, send us a request, and let us guide you through the Chugach state park.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
