Stockholm might not be the first city that comes to mind when thinking of outdoor climbing, but for those in the know, it hides a wealth of granite crags tucked into forested areas, lakesides, and even right in the urban heart. This private half-day guided trip is designed for climbers who want to break free from the gym, travelers looking for a short outdoor adventure while visiting Stockholm, or locals curious about climbing in their own backyard
Led by a UIAA-certified rock climbing instructor with over 22 years of guiding experience, you’ll explore one of Stockholm’s many accessible crags. Options include the sunny and tall Ryssgraven (30 mins from the city), urban Danviksklippan, or the lakeside routes of Örnberget (Tullinge) offering grades from beginner up to 8c. The choice of crag will depend on your goals, climbing level, group size, and whether you prefer bouldering or roped climbing.
You’ll enjoy a three-hour climbing session (plus transport time), covering disciplines like top rope, lead climbing, or bouldering. Group sizes are kept intimate, maximum four people per instructor, to ensure safety and personalized coaching. Expect expert tips, beautiful surroundings, and a classic Swedish "fika" break.
Whether you’re in town for a few days or a local curious to discover your city from a new angle, this trip offers a unique way to climb outdoors without straying far from Stockholm.

Nikki is an outstanding instructor. Her depth of knowledge is immediately apparent, but what truly makes her a great instructor is her supportive and encouraging teaching style. She creates an environment where you feel safe to push your limits and ask questions. I left the courses feeling more confident and capable as a climber, all thanks to her excellent guidance.
