There are a number of beautiful and magical volcanoes near Mexico City. And on this full-day trip, you will get to hike to the summit of one of the most stunning: Telapon (4,065m).

Along with peaks like Popocatepetl, Iztaccihuatl, Teyotl and Tlaloc, Telapon is an amazing volcano. And when you reach the peak’s summit, you will get to enjoy views of all of those aforementioned peaks, as well as the landscape that seemingly goes on forever.

Despite the peak’s summit exceeding 4,000 meters, the journey to the top of Telapon is actually not very difficult. As a result, this trip is open to people of all skill levels. That means even families and children can enjoy the breathtaking journey to the summit!

Another great advantage to this trip is how close the peak is to the eclectic and sprawling Mexico City. Thus making this day trip a great addition to a trip you may already be planning to the enormous Mexican capital.

At the summit of Telapon, there is a beautiful Catholic monument. However, the volcano’s significance goes back even further to ancient Aztec times. Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
