Type of Trip
The village of El Chaltén has several rock climbing areas to fully enjoy a great sport day. That’s why I have planned a guided climbing day in this amazing region.
First, during the morning I will teach you some knot techniques as well as belaying and rappelling skills. Moreover, you’ll be able to put into practice all that newly acquired knowledge, on some single-pitch routes.
Then, if weather is good you can try some multi-pitch climbing. This kind of activity involves a harder technical level but, under my supervision, you can do it safely.
This program will take about 6 to 8 hours in total. However, I can also offer you this rock climbing in a half day modality. So, if you have no too much time you may prefer this option!
The dynamic of the activity is the same with the only difference that the total activity will take around 4 hours. Besides that, it can be done either in the morning or in the afternoon. You choose!
Whatever the option you like, remember to bring comfortable clothes and shoes, a hut and something to drink. If you choose the full-day option you must add some snacks or a boxed-lunch.
As a certified UIAGM-IFMGA mountain guide from El Chaltén it’d be a honor to have the opportunity of leading this rock climbing day. All you have to do is to book your place or send me a message by filling the contact form. Do it now!

What happens if I need to cancel the trip?
If you decide to cancel, you’ll get a 100% refund (minus fees) if the cancellation is notified up to 60 days before the start of the tour, a 75% refund (minus fees) if you cancel between 59 and 30 days before the start of the tour, and a 50% refund if you cancel between 29 and 21 days before the start of the tour. If you cancel less than 21 days before the first day of the tour, you won’t receive a refund. Take into account, however, that if accommodation, flights or transfers were included in the trip you booked, then a different policy may apply as the guide will be bound by the provider’s cancellation policy.
What happens if the guide cancels the trip because of bad weather/unsuitable conditions?
If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, he or she will: a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better, or b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or c) cancel. If you refuse option a), our cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client).
What happens if the guide doesn’t show up or cancels for personal reasons?
If the guide cancels for reason of injury or other, you will get a 100% refund on your trip.
About the Guide
Certified UIAGM-IFMGA Mountain Guide from Argentina.
I live in El Chaltén since 1998. I'm originally from Bariloche and I started with mountain activities when I was 15 years old. I've done climbing and ascents in many mountains of Patagonia, Perú, Bolivia, United States and Europe; such as Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, Alpamayo, El Capitán, Mont Blanc and Aconcagua among others. I'm also a Ski Instructor and I am passionate for backcountry ski.
I speak fluent English, Italian and French and have been leading trips and expeditions for more than 20 years. I work together with a group of guides, so if I'm not available for the trip you request, one of my colleagues will guide you!
