Description
I will guide you on this exciting, rousing and hair-raising day of extreme mountain biking in the Tobago Main Ridge Forest Reserve, Trinidad & Tobago, where we will ride through vast tracts of forest and jungle, up and down mountains up to 1900 feet high and down to some of the best beaches on earth, all on technical, challenging and rewarding long road, jeep and single tracks.
Trinidad & Tobago is an island country located just off the coast of Venezuela, and is an increasingly popular tourist destination owing to its lovely year-round weather, its fantastic beaches and its relaxed, fun lifestyle.
We start our adventure by riding along the main ridge, featuring the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemishpere, via the famous Elvis Goats’, a technical single track ascent and descent designed to test the abilities of all expert mountain bikers.
Next up is Castara, a sumptuous, gorgeous and brand new rainforest trail standing at 1700 feet high that entails a sharp descent through the jungle, with single tracks and jeep trails keeping you entertained.
Finally we ride along the trail known as Chocolate Cake, a riotous trail of drops and chutes through rocks and trees, with the payoff being the ending at Cotton Bay, renowned as one of the best beaches in Tobago and a true oasis.
The scenery we pass throughout the day truly takes the breath away, with lovely views out over the rest of the island and out to sea a common occurrence.
We finish our adventure here at Cotton Bay, exhausted, exhilarated and thrilled at having accomplished these extreme trails and taken in the raw natural beauty of this awesome country.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
