Description
Join me on this sublime half-day of intermediate mountain biking in Tobago, near Plymouth and Black Rock, as I guide you around this Caribbean oasis via exhilarating and twisting single tracks, winding and gentle scenic routes past the outstanding coastline and beaches, and plenty more short and fun backtracks through the lush green fields and forests of the island.
Trinidad & Tobago is an island country located just off the coast of Venezuela, and is an increasingly popular tourist destination owing to its lovely year-round weather, its fantastic beaches and its relaxed, fun lifestyle. This has resulted in a range of outdoor activities, such as mountain biking, to thrive.
We will meet close to the villages of Plymouth and Black Rock, where all relevant safety gear and information will be dispensed.
We then start riding by hitting Chala’s Trail, a fun and interesting single track trail used by the locals to access their homes.
Next up is the trail of Tabancas, an adrenaline-pumping slalom through the raw natural scenery of the island, with sumptuous views out over the Atlantic Ocean and over to Trinidad, truly taking the breath away.
Afterwards we make our way along a hillside trail that connects the villages of Whim and Bethel, offering sweeping panoramic views back out over the rest of the island.
Finally we spend some time on the backtracks close by to Black Rock and Plymouth, most located on private property that links many of the community institutions.
After a fun-filled and action-packed half-day of mountain biking we then finish our journey, weary yet content at having discovered some of the best hidden secrets of this beautiful country.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
