Description

Are you coming to Norway and want to spend one day hiking in a beautiful natural area? Then you’ve come to the right place. Join me on this tour and discover the landscapes of Falketind, in Jotunheimen.

Falketind is located in Sogn og Fjordane, in the mountain range of Jotunheimen. This mountain peak has an altitude of 2,067 meters and belongs to the Utladalen Landscape Protection Area. This fantastic natural park offers incredible panoramas and great hiking opportunities.

While hiking on this program, we’ll enjoy the view of the valleys, lakes and hills surrounding us. Furthermore, we’ll have the pleasure to go across a glacier where we’ll need to use our ice crampons. The tour allows us to combine an exciting sporting activity with wonderful natural landscapes!

Please, take into account that the tour can be challenging, so some prior hiking and rock climbing experience, as well as a very good fitness level, are mandatory.

Mountain Guide

Based in Western Norway, near the Sognefjord, our guiding agency has been offering its services since 1987. We are located in the Jostedalen Valley from where we have quick and easy access to the popular Nigardsbreen, an arm of the large Jostedalsbreen glacier.

Originally established by certified guides Steinar Bruheim, Thore Stensberg, Heidi Zimmermann and Arve Tvedt, the agency's staff now includes up to 30 guides in the high season, both in Norway and internationally, all with solid knowledge and experience.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
