Description

Join me on this unique trip of freeride mountain skiing in the Caucasus! On this trip, you will experience all the beautiful views that the Elbrus Region of the Central Caucasus has to offer.

This lovely region of the Central Caucasus includes the Baskan river valley and its many streams. There is also the colossal double-headed volcano, Mt. Elbrus. The volcano is now extinct but remains the tallest mountain in Europe, standing at 5642 meters above sea level.

We will have a chance to visit more mountains along the Main Caucasian Ridge such as Donguz-Orun, which stands at 4454 meters and Nakra-Tau, which is 4225 meters tall. Along our ski route, we will experience some glorious streams such as Adyl-su and Adyr-su.

Remember this is freeride skiing, so guests should have some experience in the use of the special equipment that is used for freeride skiing. This should include experience with freeride equipment. Freeride equipment includes light skis and boots that allow the ankle-joint to be flexible. With freeride skis, you can unfix your heels to be free for climbing and fix them for going downhill. These skis are best for those who are accustomed to skiing alpine style.

Please also note for this program we need to receive the personal data of each participant 45 days before arrival to the region for a special permit.

This 8-day trip is an opportunity to take a break from the hassles of everyday life. We will ski everyday and have the opportunity to see many breathtaking views. Book today and you will leave with memories that will last a lifetime!
