The Tayrona National Park is Colombia’s most important and popular national park. It is located in the Caribbean coast of the department of Magdalena and is a fantastic destination for a relaxing, exciting and incredible vacation. Follow us for a stunning half-day hike to explore the park and discover its indigenous tribes.
Tayrona has 2 hiking paths: one to El Pueblito and another one called 9 Stones. This last one is the less visited one, so we’ll probably have most of the path to ourselves. It usually takes an hour and a half to complete starting at El Zaino. The path is mostly a jungle trail (loop) with stunning ocean views. It was named after the stones on the way that indigenous people used to observe the passage of the cosmos.
Some tips for visiting Tayrona: bring insect repellent, sunscreen, and some food and drinks since there are not many options inside the park . And be respectful of the indigenous tribes that live there by taking your trash back.
If you are looking for your next big adventure, you should definitely visit Tayrona National Park! And while you’re at it, follow us for a beautiful hike. Book your trip now!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
