Description
When people think of the area around Aspen, Colorado, of course they think of the mountains, the forest and the ski resorts, but what they most think about is the snow. Plentiful, beautiful and fresh, the snow around Aspen creates a sensational, magical atmosphere that is difficult to resist. And on this half-day snowshoeing excursion, you will get to trek through that amazing snow, as you explore the lovely area.
This tour takes place in nearby Ashcroft, in the Castle Creek Valley. Full of stunning natural scenery and many wonderful highlights, you will see exactly why the Aspen area is so renowned. You will also get to explore the Ashcroft ghost town during this trip. Finally, our experienced, certified guides will share information about everything from animal tracking and avalanches to the area’s wildlife and geology.
This trip is approximately 3.5 miles long, round trip. And while it is not very technically difficult, you should be in good enough physical condition to maintain the casual pace.
