Description

You don’t need to be an expert climber to enjoy breathtaking views from the top of a mountain. If you don’t know how to climb, but wish to live a similar experience, a via ferrata adventure is what you are looking for. And there’s not a better area, than the one near Barcelona, Spain, for this type of trip.

What is a via ferrata?

It means “iron path” in italian. And for good reasons, as it is a rock climbing or ascension route which is protected. So, it normally has a steel cable rail fixed to the rock. But it could also have metal steps or ladders, as well as suspension bridges. It could even involve zip lines. The activity consists on progressing through such via ferrata, with a harness clipped on to the cable.

Also, it could be considered an activity in between rock climbing and scrambling. So it is the perfect activity for non-expert climbers. You can reach high altitudes, but without the risks of mountaineering or rock climbing. Plus, it does not require as much equipment.

I have crafted this private program to adapt it to your requests. Therefore, you get to choose which area you want to visit. Some of the options include: Montserrat, Montsant, Centelles Via Ferrada de les Baumes Corcades and Sant Feliu de Guíxols Via Ferrada La Cala del Molí.

Furthermore, as a private trip I will focus on keeping you safe and making sure you have a blast!

If you are thinking about joining a via ferrata trip, this is your opportunity. Request to book this trip today, and let me guide you on this amazing journey.

Looking for a different type of activity in the same area? I also guide this 1-day trekking trip in Montserrat, Spain.

Jordi was a great guide. He communicated with us about the details of the hike, timing, expectations, etc. He laid out the options and let us select the best activity level for what we were capable of.

Jordi is 100% passionate about what he does. It was my first multi-pitch and he gave me excellent, clear instructions. Great teacher! I never once felt uncomfortable or in danger. I trusted him with my life. And, he’s just really easy to be around! The day began with my journey from Barcelona to Montserrat. The night before, he made sure I had the right train to get there. In the morning, when I arrived at the Monistrol de Montserrat station, he was already there waiting to pick me up. He drove us to get some coffee and a last minute bathroom break. From there, we drove a bit to the actual mountain and made the final approach on foot. The climb itself was really fun! I’m addicted to multi-pitches now. The whole experience was just what I needed. I will definitely be back for more with Jordi.
