1-day Trekking trip in Montserrat, Spain

The Montserrat Massif is usually referred to as the most important mountain in Catalunya. This beautiful range offers incredible landscapes and is a great place to enjoy hiking. Also, it is home to the Montserrat Monastery, a very important spot regarding culture and history.

The meeting point of our trip will be the Monistrol de Montserrat train station, in the Bages region. From there, we’ll drive to Can Massana parking and explore Montserrat’s north face where we’ll get to see its gorgeous walls. Afterwards, we’ll hike to Coll de Porc, pass through Vincenç Barbé refuge and return to the parking. Finally, we’ll drive back to Monistrol with a stop to visit the beautiful monastery.

Although we can take this trip all year round, from September to June we’ll find better weather conditions. Finally, to join this hike, it is not mandatory to have plenty of experience. However, it is important to have a good level of fitness.
