Description

Would you like to spend a week discovering this breathtaking snow paradise?

Then you should join us on this heliskiing week into the Alps region of Val Formazza, Piedmont!

Val Formazza is known as the “Alps' Little Canada" for it’s high-quality snow. This beatifull valley is located in Piedmont, Italy, surrounded by three imposing mountain peaks: Blinnenhorn (3,373m), Basodino (3,270m) and Ofenhorn (3,250m)

Thanks to its altitude (about 1,800 meters above sea level), you will find excellent snow conditions in Val Formazza. This area probably has the most potential for heli-skiing in all of the Alps, providing 120 square kilometers to explore. It's a true powder paradise.

Heliskiing is definitely the ultimate experience for skiers. First, you will be amazed by the beautiful landscapes you'll see from the helicopter. And then, the indescribable pleasure of skiing on virgin snow where nobody goes. We guarantee around 21 runs throughout the entire tour (15,000 vertical feet).

Our guides manage heliskiing in Val Formazza exclusively, so they have extensive experience. We prefer a maximum of four participants in each group to ensure a high-end and safe service, with no helicopter delays.

And if all this is not enough to convince, you'll be staying at the Wasler Schtuba, a pleasant 3-star hotel with traditional alpine style rooms. Its restaurant offers the best of local gastronomy and a wide variety of wines.

The first day we’ll meet at 5 pm in the hotel for equipment checking, program preview and safety briefing. After that, we’ll have dinner at the hotel restaurant. From the second to the sixth day it’s time for heliskiing. In case of bad weather we can offer an alternative skiing tour around Devero, Val Formazza and San Domenico. On the last day we can still heliski until 1PM, before the tour ends.

What are you waiting for? Go ahead and contact us for this unforgettable heliskiing adventure. It will be our great pleasure to guide you through this unique powder snow paradise!

And if you are looking for another amazing heliskiing opportunity in the Italian Alps, you should take a look at our heliskiing week on Southwest face of Mont Blanc!

We had a fantastic day with Alesandro in La Thuile. It had not snowed much for over 3 weeks, so he recommended that we go Ski Touring, and we managed to find fresh tracks. Could not have gone better!

Just have to say what an excellent week I had in Val Formazza last week with Heli Guides. Our guide Alberto was great and was able to find us great lines to ski as well as being great company and possessing a great nose for a fine bottle of wine. The hotel we stayed in - the Walser Schtuba - was great with comfortable rooms and top notch meals and wine. You could not ask for more after a great days skiing than to come back and relax in this great hotel. I was most impressed with all aspects of Heli Guides / Guide Monterosa and there willingness to make your holiday truly memorable.

It was just amazing. The guide was both fun and serious. Reassuring and very competent. The helicopter company was great too and the pilot (Alessandro) was super fast.

Heliskiing in Courmayeur is just amazing. The sceneries were stunning, the snow was perfect, we were along in the middle of nowhere. Organisation was impeccable, with Ode taking care of us right from the beginning. We did not wait at all and helicopter picked us up immediately for the first ride. Alessandro the pilot was super kind and helpful. We did two drops on two neighboring glaciers, 5 minutes helicopter ride. Only thing is that the downhill could have been longer, but that is due to the fact that wind conditions were extreme and hence only limited choice of dropping areas. I highly recommend this trip!
