This day I will lead you on promises to be a magnificent exploration of some of the best raw natural scenery and culturally significant sites that Mexico has to offer, as we undertake a hiking and adventure day in San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, a region of intense natural beauty on the Pacific Ocean containing many historical artifacts and locations dating back thousands of years.
San Jose del Cabo is located on the Southern tip of Baja California Sur, and is known for its tranquil and idyllic sandy beaches, as well as its colonial-era architecture and proximity to nature reserves.
We begin the day from our office in San Jose del Cabo, and from there we head to the caves of San Dionisio, where cave paintings and rock art believed to be over 2000 years old exist, making for a brilliant history lesson.
We then head to La Poza Oscura (The Dark Pool) via an ascent of some massive mountain rocks, working up a sweat so by the time we reach the marvelous pool we are ready to jump in and refresh.
The pool is 50 feet deep and full of epically refreshing water, and after relaxing there we finish by heading back in to town and sampling the delicious local food and drink.
This is a highly enjoyable, educational and fascinating day of exploration – book now to experience!
