Get away from the crowds and follow us on this secluded route along the stunning Batopilas Canyon in Chihuahua, Mexico. You’ll love it.
On this 3-day adventure, we’ll hike through three different climate zones to reach an old Spanish silver-mine at the bottom of the Batopilas Canyon. We’ll begin from the High Sierra Madre at an altitude of 2,000 meters and end at sea level. Along the way, we’ll visit the fascinating Cusarare Falls, the lost Cathedral of Satevo, the Hacienda of San Miguel, the old aqueduct, and more.
First, we’ll start at Creel and visit the 17th and 18th century mural paintings at the Jesuit Mission at Cusarare. Then, we’ll go towards Basihuare canyon, Copper Canyon, River Urique and Urique Canyon, until we reach our hotel at the bottom of the Batopilas Canyon. Finally, after two relaxing nights, we’ll go back to Creel.
