This 1-day hiking and photography tour in Haut Val de Bagnes, in the Swiss canton of Valais, will give you the chance to photograph this region's very rich fauna in its particularly beautiful natural environment.
Spring is the season of births. You'll see young goats having some fun under their mother's careful watch. Learn how to observe the game, how to approach it and how to photograph it.
I've got lots of experience taking photographs in this high mountain environment. I will help you be in the right place at the right time! The animals know how to thwart even the best plans…so you'll need an expert!
We'll also cover some of the basics — speed, light, depth of field, etc. — that will allow to take great photographs. We'll talk about angles, composition and not missing great opportunities for lack of anticipation. And all this with the most beautiful landscapes as a backdrop!
You need a good fitness level to participate in this hiking and photography tour. However, there won't be any technical difficulties so this program is open to even beginner hikers.
If this 1-day tour sounds interesting, contact me to make it happen. You'll take home the most beautiful images as well as an unforgettable experience!
And if you enjoy photographing flowers, check out my photographic tour of Les Follateres National Reserve.

I was born on a freezing day in January, 1956, and that day’s sub-zero temperatures would serve as on omen for my professional life, dedicated to the mountains.
In college, I majored in Engineering and Natural Sciences (glaciology and geophysics), with the goal of understanding the mysterious forces that have sculpted the Earth’s mountains. After graduation, my passion for photography and writing led me to become a reporter specialized on issues related to the mountains.
A father of two, I have relentlessly roamed the vast horizons…of my native Valais, in Switzerland, from the plains to the high summits — always with my camera in hand and my notepad in my pocket. I currently alternate between my work as a journalist and my job as a mountain guide, which provides a delicate balance between body and mind that is essential to my well-being.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
