Description

Hiking around the Grand Muveran Massif is probably one of the wildest treks between Vaud and Valais.

Located at the bend of the Rhone valley, the Muveran massif offers to the hiker geological madness, vast plateaus and surreal colors. The balcony course offers stunning views of the Mont-Blanc, the Dents du Midi and Lake Geneva.

Sleeping under a yurt on La Vare pasture, trampling the so rare Nant valley flora or go to Derborence, liked by Ramuz, this hike is an invitation to a change of scenery.

We leave together for 5 days. The period for this hike lasts between June and October.

I invite you to contact me if you want to experience a beautiful mountain adventure and discover a splendid massif, off the beaten tracks. I’d be happy to take you there and share my passion for the peaks and alpine meadows.

I also offer other beautiful hiking in the Alps such as:

– Around Aravis;

– Around Dents-du-Midi;

– Around Val d’Hérens, d’Anniviers, de Bagnes;

– Around Matterhorn;

– Around Mont-Blanc.

Mountain Leader

I was born in 1978, and I discovered the fascinating world of the high mountain very early, in Valais. I'm a Geographer, specialised in mountain space management in the Alpine Geographical Institute at Grenoble. I then worked for 3 years as a researcher in Geneva University, studying tourism and sustainable development in the mountain.
Always looking for large spaces, I became passionate about traveling by foot, snowshoeing or skiing in the massifs of the world. From Iceland to Patagonia, from Greenland to the Andes Range, from Poland to Ethiopia, I take pleasure in surveying these high territories. In 2007, the nomad call took me to an integral crossing of the alpine arc during 5 months, by foot and in solitary. This adventure led to a documentary film and to writing a book.
Eager to convey my passion for traveling and trekking to a varied public, I became a Hiking Guide. Other than this activity, I teach, give conferences and I am a specialised journalist.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
