Description
Are you going to visit Kyrgyzstan and you’re looking for some fun adventures to do close to its Capital city? Then this Hiking day trips in the Ala Archa National Park could be your perfect choice.
The Ala Archa National Park is located in the Tian Shan mountains, about 40 kms south of Bishkek. It was established in 1976 and its famous for the magnificent Ala-Archa gorge and its surroundings. It’s open year round but late summer and early fall are the best seasons to visit it.
There are many hiking options in this park, and I’m willing to take you wherever you wish to explore.
We’ll meet in Bishkek and drive to the National Park, where all the possible hikes start at the former Alplager Ala-Archa mountaineering camp. There are a few options that I always recommend, but if you have another wish I will be happy to guide you there:
Hiking to the upper reaches of Ala-Archa River
Hiking to the Ak-Sai waterfall
Hiking to the Adygene gorge and visiting the Mountaineering memorial
Hiking to the Ratsek hut
Sightseeing excursion inside the National park
The walking distances and altitude gain varies with every hike, but they are all simple hikes which you’ll enjoy for the amazing surroundings.
