Description

In Vanoise, in a wild and well signposted environment, surrounded by emblematic summits, we will walk together among alpine pastures and plains, on the lake banks or along a river.

Starting from the Plaisance Refuge of which I am the guardian, we can follow the beautiful trails of the Vanoise National Park.

Our refuge is located on the heights of Champagny-en-Vanoise, at 2170m above sea level in a southern green valley, at the heart of the park entry. We welcome you to our two Chaloin chalets, small but cozy for a gourmet break or a night in altitude.

The hikes I supervise are ideal for the family and/or friends, with one or two nights in a hut before and/or after walking. We will have the opportunity to see many animals (goats, marmots, birds of prey …) and beautiful flora! I’d be happy to explain to you everything that surrounds us and to help you to discover some wonders of the Vanoise National Park.

Here are some hiking proposals…

1. Ascent to the Plan Sery pass – 1:30h walking

We enter together in the heart of the park, note: dogs are prohibited. This pass is easily accessible, with beautiful views of the glacial peaks of Mont Pourri and the Dôme de la Sache. The Grand Tuf of Sery Plan, splendid ocher cargneule dominates us.

2. Vallaisonnay Peak – 4h walking

Ascend to Plan Sery pass, cross the Traverse des Aimes (off-path) and then ascend right up the ridge of the Pointe Vallaisonnay 3020m altitude. Or 860 m of positive vertical drops in off-trail and with the distance, count 4 hours to reach the top.

3. La Plagne Lake

2:30 hours away from Plaisance refuge we will arrive to our neighbor: Entre le Lac refuge, located on the shores of La Plagne Lake.

4. Grassaz pass

3 hours walking from the Plaisance Refuge, we can switch to the plan du Sel pasture where we can buy cheese, then descend to the Glière refuge and join the hamlet of Laisonnay.

5. Palet pass – 4:30h walking

We will go by the Palet refuge where Nicolas and Marion will welcome you with good local beers. From the pass, you can either switch to Tignes le Lac or on the Plan du Sel pasture where you can buy cheese, then descent to the Glière refuge and join the hamlet of Laisonnay.

6. Sachette pass at 4:30h and Tourne pass at 4h.

These passes will allow you to reach Tignes le Lac.

At Plaisance, I work in an eco-tourism process giving priority to local and organic products. We love our job, we love our refuge, let’s share our passion, discover the valley and enjoy the place.

I will be waiting for your message! I‘d be happy to welcome you in this beautiful place that I will enjoy to make you discover.

Mountain Leader

UIMLA Mountain Leader
I always wanted to live in the mountains or as close as possible to them, which is why I adapted my school and professional orientations according to my convictions and in function of my lifestyle.
In order to become professional and to be able to share my love and knowledge of the mountain environment, I got State certified as mountain leader and I am a Refuge guard. I love to share my passion and lead people to discovery.
I am dynamic and enthusiastic; today I live in the mountain, from the mountain. I am deeply involved in its daily improvement. I am very rational and I love working in collaboration with other people and managing innovative projects while balancing the human and ethic components.
To me, a refuge is a warm, friendly place, where I can find friends, passionate and contemplative people. We eat, sleep, share... Briefly, it's above all a place full of life. Its particularity is the geographical isolation, which allows a more intimate, authentic relationship with the wild mountain environment.
Contact me, I'll be waiting for you!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
