Also known as the “Haute Route”, this beautiful hut to hut walk links Chamonix, home of the mythical Mont Blanc with Zermatt, home of the Matterhorn in Switzerland.
The route traverses the highest peaks in the Alps as well as glacial valleys, alpine meadows and pretty villages. So that, this 6-day program promises you incredible and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
The only requirement for being part of this trip is to be in a good physical condition, with experience practicing hiking regularly.
The Haute Route is one of the best hikes in the world. So, it is an important objective for passionate hikers.
Further, it traverses alpine valleys, glaciers, lakes and villages combining not only the natural beauty but also the culture of both regions: France and Switzerland.
The hiking links two of the most important and iconic summits of Europe: Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps; and the Matterhorn with its amazing beauty.
What is more, the Haute Route is a challenging hike but also a comfortable route.
And finally, an excellent guiding by an IFMGA certified mountain guide.

The price does not include the guide´s expenses (accommodation, meals, lift tickets, etc).
Meeting with the guide at 8 am in Chamonix. Transfer by car from Chamonix to Montroc. Then reach the Charmillon chalets by cable car. Afterwards , climb on foot to Albert refuge. Beautiful panoramic view of Glacier du Tour. Dinner and night at the refuge.
Breakfast at the refuge. Walk on glacier with crampons until Col du Tour, between France and Switzerland. Enjoy incredible views of Trient Glacier, and then descent to Col d’Orny. Finally, climb to the Breya lift which lead us to Champex village. Dinner and night at Champex.
Transfer by taxi to Mauvoisin. From there, cross of Tsofeiret (2642m), Lire Rose (3115m), Mont Rouge (3395m) and the Col de Cheilon (3243m). Afterwars, we join the the Gietroz and Cheilon glaciers. Dinner and night at the Cabane des 10 refuge.
From Cabana des 10, climb by Tsena Refien glacier until reaching Pigne d’Arolla, the highest point of the Haute Route. Descent by the Vuibe glacier until the Vignettes Refuge.
Breakfast at the refuge and ascent to Bishop Pass which marks the border between Switzerland an Italy. Then back to Arolla glacier and finally to Bertol refuge. Dinner and night there.
Departure early in the morning to reach the Tete Blanche (3724m), facing the beautiful Matterhorn. Then, long descent to Stockj glacier to reach the Schonbiel moraine. Lastly, we finish our hiking traverse in Zermatt.

Sébastien is originally from Toulon. Before he dedicated his time fully to his passion, mountaineering, he has completed a degree in Alpine Geography.
His thirst for adventure took him from countries such as Turkey and Peru to the high mountains of Pakistan .
Since 2000, he work as a Mountain Guide in Chamonix, La Clusaz and all over the world.

I had a great time climbing with Sebastien. He modified the trip because of the weather and was able to find dry rock on a wet day. Throughout the trip Sebastien not only provided plenty of climbing but also helped me on skills that I wanted to improve on.
