Ski touring near Barcelona? That’s right, join me in Val d’Aran, the hidden gem of Southern Europe located in the stunning Pyrenees mountains!

Here you can expect wonderful deep powder snow conditions with almost limitless ski touring opportunities.

A vast mountain range with peaks over 3000m, this region is as picturesque as you can imagine. Alpine forests, mountain lakes, and glaciers decorate the scene.

The local Pyrenees culture is lively and has delicious cuisine, you can enjoy the charming town of Vielha with its restaurants and nightlife.

On this 6 day excursion, we will spend 6-days traveling hut to hut, and an extra day designated for enjoying Baqueira Beret Ski Resort.

With variable weather conditions possible, I will select the most appropriate locations and routes given the latest weather updates and the group’s preference.

The huts themselves are warm and comfortable, wholesome meals (inform us of any dietary requirements) will replenish you after long days out touring.

To join the trip you need to be able to carry a backpack for extended periods traversing over the mountains.

Mountain Guide

I love what I do and love to transmit my passion while guiding.

After touring the world fulfilling my dreams, I have put together all the knowledge gained and a strong background as a mountain guide to become one of the most versatile, dedicated and professional guides in the Pyrenees.

My resume has technical training in mountain medicine, snow studies, search and rescue complete training, meteorology and botany.

I spend the winters enjoying the unique snow conditions in the Aran Valley, as a ski touring and freeride Guide, and summers climbing the countless areas of excellent rock, either granite, limestone or conglomerate in the Pyrenees. I also spend a lot of time in Iceland during the summer guiding my friends and clients across these incredible landscapes.

While traveling the world, I make every effort to show the beauty of the landscapes, the quality of the rock and the best snow in the Pyrenees to everyone who wants to check them out.

Please get in touch with me if you want to discover the Pyrenees!

The helicopter was a surprise and it was awesome, it was a great first time experience in the backcountry. Our guide, Roger, was really helpful and patient with us and we found really good snow.  The hiking up was especially tiring when it was really hot but the skiing was epic.

Our 5 day ski tour was an absolutely amazing trip, our guide Roger had unfortunately been unwell and so arranged another guide, Ruth, for the first 2 days. Both guides were fantastic, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and took us on terrain we would never have imagined was possible for us. We felt safe and in good hands throughout. The huts were comfortable and friendly with great food. It was the perfect introductory ski tour trip that I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of going.
