Join a certified mountain guide for this once-in-a-lifetime trekking experience, heading up to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Northern Circuit. Enjoy phenomenal views of the massif as well as its surroundings and get the chance to climb on one of Kilimanjaro's glaciers too.
Enjoy the stunning scenery of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Make it to the top of one of the world's Seven Summits.
Get the chance to climb on the glacier at the summit.
Rising to 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) in elevation, Mount Kilimanjaro towers above the serengetis, rainforests and other mountain peaks in East Africa! Climbing by the Northern Circuit is one of the best ways to see it.
Uhuru Peak, the highest one on the mountain, is the highest point in all of Africa. It is also the easiest of the world’s Seven Summits to reach, which is what attracts the 30,000 people to the mountain each year.
Our adventure to the top of Tanzania begins after we pick you up from the airport and transfer to our comfy hotel. After relaxing for the rest of the day, we go over our plans in the evening and get ready for the real fun to begin.
The following day, we transfer to the national park, register and head to the trailhead. The first few days, we’ll be acclimatizing. This means we will spend three to five hours hiking from one camp to the next, gaining some, but not too much, altitude each day.
As we go, we’ll enjoy stunning views of Kilimanjaro from multiple angles as well as the surrounding grasslands. We’ll also get the chance to see local wildlife and plants.
The highlight of the trip comes on the eighth day of the adventure, when we get up at midnight and begin hiking to the summit. From the top of Uhuru Peak, we will enjoy a sublime sunrise and get the chance to climb on a glacier too.
By the time the trip is over and we’ve returned to the hotel, you’ll already be planning your next trip back to this incredible part of the world.
(Please note that we can extend the trip by two days and begin the trip from Londorossi Gate, hiking to Mti Mkubwa Camp, before arriving at Shira 1 Camp. Please contact us for details, if you would like to do this.)
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this scenic, exciting and unique 10-day ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Northern Circuit!
If you like the look of this trip then we think you may also enjoy our 8-day trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route!
