Description

Uncover the wild natural secrets of Tanzania during an 11-day safari trek that will take you through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, the Serengeti and the giant of Kilimanjaro.

We’ll begin this epic adventure from the Lemosho glades, which are at the west side of the legendry Kilimanjaro. We’ll begin with a steady climb through forest before reaching Big Tree Camp, our first camp on our journey.

We’ll cover much ground as we trek across a plateau of grassy moorland scattered with beautiful volcanic rock formations, and make our way first to Shira 1 Camp and then Shira 2 Camo, with unbelievable views of Kibo Peak, which pierces the clouds, as well as of the Northern Ice Fields.

We next tackle upland desert and lava ridges beneath glaciers, reaching Lava Tower (4,640m), before a steep descent to camp on the base of the Great Barranco Valley (3,960m). We pass beneath the huge ravine and Heim and Kersten glaciers, towards the Karanga valley, where we find a steep climb.

After a walk to Barafu camp (4,640m) we’ll gain altitude as we reach the stunning summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895m). From here we descend to Mweka camp (3,100m) and then a gentle trek through the rainforest to Mweda Gate.

Once accomplished, we’ll head over to Tarangire National Park, which is famous for its large collection of baobab trees and mammal population including elephants.

Then finally, we head to the magnificent Ngorongoro crater, one of most densely populated African wildlife areas, and home to 30,000 animals including the black rhino, zebra, buffalo, hippo, lions, hyenas, cheetahs and many more.
